  • What is grape seed oil?
  • Our organically crafted Grapeseed Oil is cold pressed from the seeds of Vitis vinifera, which is primarily cultivated to produce grapes for wine-making. Grape Seed Oil is abundant in polyphenols, particularly Oligomeric Proanthocyanidin Complexes (OPCs) - considered to be one of the most powerful antioxidants found in nature.
  • Can red grape seed oil be used in cosmeceuticals?
  • Since Vitis vinifera cold pressed and hydrogenated oils are accepted to be safe to use in cosmeceuticals, red grape seed oil is also used in wine therapy for massaging the whole body in an exfoliating step (Soto et al., 2015 ).
  • How is grape seed oil extracted?
  • For industrial production, cold pressing (screw pressing or continuous mechanical expression) and/or solvent extraction processes are mostly used to obtain grape seed oil. Cold pressing, which applies a lower process temperature and no solvent, is preferred to ensure a higher-quality oil extraction, although the yield is lower (55%–95%).
  • How does nature in bottle extract grapeseed oil?
  • Nature In Bottle certify that Grapeseed Oil has been extracted using cold pressing which means it is minimally processed using mechanical extraction (pressure) and low-temperature controlled conditions [at around 80-90°F (26-32°C)] controlled conditions to extract the oil.
