On this basis, studied the combustion mechanism of biomass briquette and found out that the process is influenced by the medium temperature, ambient air, biomass material, particle size, reaction time, gas–solid mixing ratio, and proximate parameters like moisture content, ash content and fixed carbon of the briquette.
In light of this gap in the current literature, this study summarizes the current state of the art and recent advances in biomass-based briquettes generated from agro-residues as an alternative source of clean energy. The primary research method for this study is literature review and conceptual modeling.

The densification of raw material into fuel briquettes is one of the routs to convert biomass into energy. This method provides uniformity to the solid fuel, better physical and energy
Biomass briquette technology is helpful to diminish the cost of biomass transportation, handling, and storage, enhance energy density per unit volume, and meliorate biomass bulk density (Bhattacharya et al., 2007; Roni et al., 2014). This study aims to acquaint the insight of operational variables that influence the bio-briquette production

This article highlights the effective utilization of agro and industrial biomass residues in the form of briquettes. The various types of feedstock used and the technologies adopted in the briquetting process are discussed.
Introduction. “Briquetting technology represents both, clean renewable energy production and proper waste management." The current world situation shows enormous potential for waste biomass as a renewable energy source despite the fact that untreated raw waste biomass is characterised by a low energy potential.
