- How to determine oil content from sesame seeds and pressed cake?
- Oil contents from both sesame seeds and pressed cake were determined by extraction (10 h) using Soxhlet devices, with n -hexane as solvent. The solvent was removed using a rotary vacuum evaporator at 40 °C. The oil content was gravimetrically determined and expressed as weight percent on a dry basis (AOCS 2009 ).
