Alfa Laval SoftColumn deodorization solutions are particularly effective in: deodorizing seed oils. deacidifying tropical oils. producing oils with a particularly low content of
RBD-palm oil initially had an IV value 51.4 and cloud point 24.8°C. After dry fractionation process, stearin was produced with an IV value 35.8 and slip melting point 52.7°C and olein with an IV value 35.8 and cloud point 3.9°C. The dry fractionation of RBD-palm oil was depicted at Figure 1. Figure 1. The dry fractionation of RBD-palm oil

This fractionation process allowed to recover 87% of the total seeds proteins (92% of dehulled seeds proteins). This is achieved through the production of two protein concentrates (54 and 61% protein content w/w DM). After dry fractionation, wet extraction was performed on the protein-depleted fraction.
In edible oil plant, fractionation processes consist of a controlled cooling of the oil, so that make it crystallizated. it is less common than dry fractionation and only comes into the picture when a very high added value of (at least one of) the resulting fractions makes up for the high cost. Dry Fractionation: through batch

Advantages of Palm Oil Dry Fractionation Plant. Conventional palm oil has limitations in certain applications, such as in the production of bakery fats, chocolates, and margarine. Fractionated palm oil, obtained through oil fractionation, is a solution to this problem. A palm oil dry fractionation plant offers various benefits to the food industry.

- What is dry fractionation?
- Dry fractionation, also known as crystallization from the melt, is fractional crystallization in its most simple form, and the economy of the technology allows it to be used for production of commodity fats. Dry fractionation has long been regarded as an unpredictable, tedious and labor-intensive process.
- What makes a revolution in the chemical industry of Uganda?
- Kenrom Chemicals has revolutionized the chemical industry sector in Uganda by offering a range of products and services, including competitive sourcing and the supply of appropriate solutions that meet all customers’ needs, focusing on the decrease of costs and risks of production.
- What factors influence the characteristics of end products obtained from dry fractionation?
- Gupta (2017) has summarized seven critical points which influence the characteristics of end products obtained from dry fractionation , i.e., initial oil temperature, pre-crystallization, cooling rate, crystallization time, agitation, final crystallization temperature, and separation /filtration.
- What is a fractionation process in edible oil processing?
- 1. Historical perspective In edible oil processing, a fractionation process consists of a controlled cooling of the oil, thereby inducing a partial, or ‘fractional’, crystallization. The remaining liquid (olein) is then separated from the solid fraction (stearin) by means of a filtration or centrifugation.
